Gilly studied Hispanic Studies at Glasgow University with a focus on political theatre in Barcelona under Franco. She graduated in 2006 and has spent the last seven years learning about and making theatre with strong, urgent stories and working with as many brilliant artists as possible.
Gilly is currently developing a programme of artistic development, process exploration, collaboration and sharing for four emerging theatre artists and four emerging visual artists at the Southside Studios in Glasgow. Current and recent freelance producing projects include If These Spasms Could Speak (Robert Softley), The Incredible Adventures of See Thru Sam (Random Accomplice), FLÂNEURS (Jenna Watt), The Last Polar Bears, Staging the Nation and Five Minute Theatre (National Theatre of Scotland) and The Jean-Jacques Rousseau Show (A Play, A Pie and A Pint). Gilly received the FST Producer's bursary in 2012. Gilly's worked as a graphic designer with ISO Design in Glasgow, the San Francisco Mime Troupe in California and McCann-Erickson in Barcelona. |
